Hi I'm a 26 year old female who has been on a long term prescription for Propecia since February 2012. I have been using this medication for about 3 months and had a full effect. I stopped taking Propecia on Feb 2014 and was told by my doc that it might help with my hair loss. I had no side effects at all. I'm not sure how much it helped my hair loss. I was concerned the hair loss was due to the medication and was concerned I wasn't seeing any changes in my hair. I was able to get a prescription for a hair transplant at a local clinic. I'm not sure if this is the same for my other family. I'm in my 20s, weigh 180 lbs, and am pretty thin at 5 years old. My mom was able to afford this medication as well and I would like to see changes. I have heard nothing but positive things from the doctor, but I'm worried there is something I can do to help my hair loss.
I'm hoping someone here can shed some light on what to do about my hair loss.
My doctor was very concerned when I first started taking Propecia but didn't know what was causing it. She suggested I try to stop taking it and see what happens. I started taking it about 3 months after I started taking Propecia and my hair loss stopped. I have hair loss since my hair was removed. My doctor said it was temporary and that it would be fine for me to continue taking it. I was told I could see a change in my hair as well. I did not have any side effects, although they are not common. I have a friend who is now going through the same thing and is concerned that I will never see a change in my hair. She is a hair transplant specialist and had done some hair transplants but it took a couple of months for results to show. I'm hoping that it will help.
Thanks for any help guys. I'll see what my doc has to say about this. I'm in my 20s and weigh 180 lbs and am a bit thin. My hair is thinning and I'm hoping I can see a change in my hair and that I don't lose any hair. I also had some issues with the hair loss so the doctor did not mention the medication. I also was concerned it was not because it was the Propecia or the side effects of the medication. I was concerned I had a side effect and was worried it could be due to the medication. I would recommend that you don't take this medication and instead try to see what happens.
Thanks again, I appreciate your input!
Dr. RoachThis is a continuation of a thread you posted recently, so I will have to see if anyone else has had similar experience. I have done a lot of hair transplants and I have also had hair loss from an old bottle (which I didn't touch at all). My hair looks fine and is a little red. I am concerned that Propecia has caused a temporary change in my hair and that I will never see a change in my hair. I have been prescribed Propecia but it has not helped my hair loss. I'm not sure what to do. I'm in my 20s and weigh 180 lbs and am hoping it will help. I'm on Propecia and I'm also taking Finasteride. I have heard some positive things from the doc but I'm not sure if it is the same thing. I've had some hair loss and stopped taking it after about a month of trying to figure out how to stop the medication. I've also heard there is a chance that Finasteride might be helpful in preventing hair loss and stopping the hair loss. I've also heard that Propecia can help prevent hair loss but I'm not sure if it's the same for hair loss. I have also heard it may not work for everyone. I was told that it would take some time for me to see an effect and I'm concerned the results might be temporary. I'm not sure what to do about my hair loss. I'm in my 20s and weigh 180 lbs. and am hoping it will help. I'm looking for anything that can help with my hair loss. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I'm not sure if it is the same for my other family. My mom is a very active participant in my hair loss. She's had many success and it has helped her with her hair loss. I'm a single mother and have tried other hair loss treatments such as Rogaine, Finax, Minoxidil and others but nothing has worked for me. My hair is thinning and it's been a while. I'm just hoping it will be a temporary change.Sold and Supplied by Healthylife Pharmacy

The active ingredient in Propecia is minoxidil, which belongs to a class of medication known as selective thromboplastins. Minoxidil is the active ingredient in finasteride, which works by inhibiting the enzyme that causes blood clotting. This inhibition causes an increase in the amount of blood clots in the body, leading to reduced hair growth and a decrease in hair follicles. It can also help to improve the chances of hair loss in men.
The main difference between Propecia and Minoxidil is that Propecia is absorbed more slowly into the bloodstream than Minoxidil. This means that the effect of Propecia can last for up to 6-8 hours. Minoxidil has a slightly longer half-life, which means that the medication can be absorbed more quickly, making it a popular choice for men who want to take a longer break from the medication.
